Waiting For The Spring

Waiting For The Spring

A Poem by Peaches

Winter comes and the world dies.

Cold, alone, and desolate,

It hibernates waiting,

For the first signs of life.

My life is winter right now.

So many plans and dreams,

In limbo … waiting,

For the moment they can revive.

I would cry for dreams lost,

Only they are still out there,

Just lost for a time.

But I ache to hold them again.

Like a child who moves from home,

You know they are out there,

But can no longer touch them,

Hold them…

Someday I will see them again,

And I will rush towards them.

I will follow wherever they lead.

But for now…

I am waiting,

Waiting for the spring.

I've been writing forever it seems. I don't remember exactly when I began but by the time I was eight I had started a collection. I have even got some of those poems and stories still tucked away, to .. more..
