Time

Time

A Poem by WhiteWillow

It comes and goes,
like the ebb and flow of the tide;
or phases of the moon.

like a friend who only shows you their good side,
leaving you no choice but to accept the facade.

like the holiday season, in all its glitz and glamour,
pain wrapped in colorful prints.

The promise of a new day,
if you sleep,
and dream.

Eyes open, then close again.

And so it goes...

A friend that only shows the good side until the sad day when they act just the opposite. Nice write...very thought provoking. Valentine

Some times it seems as if each day is the same over and over again, not relinquishing the pain and mundane issues from the day before.

Time is a interesting topic. I liked how you added the holiday glitz and glamour to the meaning of time. Time will go by and most of us will do what we must.
"And so it goes..."
Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

"Pain wrapped up in colorful prints" is a really cool line. I like the relaxed feeling to this, a thoughtful musing, passing in time. Even the ellipses at the end suggests that it is still going
