Slipped

Slipped

A Poem by Throwing Romeo

Sometimes kind
               sometimes hollow
   Reciprocity
                     Smithing glow
Hope sinks
                    Reaching out
Humbly desperate

Projections slip

Slipped

The format and alternation of hope and reciprocity sinking and then reaching out in this really does feel like something slipping away either in bobbing water or through fingers. In either case what you need is eventually lost. Both the hope and resignation rings through in this equally, with the title and ending communicating more of the latter. This is a really effective use of words and arrangement.

When we are desperate, we reach out hoping that someone will grasp our misery.....sometimes we are lucky and sometimes not; it is a horrid feeling of losing oneself in the darkness of night..... as if we desperately try to get back into a boat in high seas, and the our grasp slips away and we are gone... clever write in just a few words....

Reaching out in desperation only to have hopes sunk is a mighty painful experience. Very meaningful brevity here. All the best.

Strong dance of words. You said a handful in the poetry. When we fall. Always painful. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
