Being Me

It's like holding a blade on fire 

Like nothing will ever fade

Being Suede like black leather 

Like being bold and running 

Towards the gun

Like being inspired by danger

Simply 

My simple desire

It's like you've finally learned 

How to devour your weaknesses

Aspiring challenges

Like never hearing put downs

A fearless child 

Even when everything is so clear

It's like being furtive 

deceptive in reflective lights

Unresponsive in unknown ways 

It's like keeping a secret

like being a secret 

Being me 

Now it's been unleashed 

A piece of me has been found 

now, I hate to disappoint you 

But being me 

Is simply something 

You can never do

*chuckles* Well one thing's for sure this poem made me smile. because the last part of this poem is absolutely right. I can't be you, ever, and you can neither be me, eh? haha. Although we can read this and try our best to get into your head and TRY to feel what it's like to be you while doing so. We may get that far, but we can never be full you.
Anyway, before I go on a rant that will probably get off topic (I usually do that when a poem strikes me...I get all kind of thoughts and have to spill them out as much as I can, blah blah). This poem was very insipiring and well writte. A great piece. Well done
