In The Night

In The Night

A Poem by Wild Thunder
"

A dark poem of a man going crazy from reading too many texts.

"

I know there under the floor boards
They lurk inside my walls, I can hear them crawl
They are hiding in the dark
They are upstairs in the hall
They are waiting at the door
As they holler at the moon

Something evil and dark, living in the night
The demons in the ceiling, make no call before they fall

Its in the night, when the terror strikes my heart
Its in the night, where they walk
In the night
Its in the night
In the night
Its in the night under the venom of the moon

I hear them taking steps down the hall
I see them walking through my door

Can you hear it
Can you see it
Can’t you taste it
Can’t you feel it
When the fear takes hold
In the night

Delightfully frightening...descriptive and vague, very well written.
