Chain Smoker

Chain Smoker

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

It's hard to quit an addiction so strong..

"

I’m afraid of falling

I’m afraid of you

I’m afraid of losing

I’m afraid of needing

Of crying

Of dying

I am no longer myself

but for all time, the girl who weeps in the pane

winter snows took my soul

they ate my eyes and left my heart

bleeding, in a bucket

Where is the love that I’ve heard of?

Let me know if you’re out there

I need to get away!

Be free

and be gone

but I’m afraid of falling

and I’m afraid of you
