A poem for my sister kate, who died quite young.

I was here.

There's only really one of me

I'm quite unique to all you see

I've never once been here before

this is It, my life no more

my journey here has touched a few

but most of all my love for you

a lifetime lasts in a single kiss

these are the things I'll truly miss

But please don't shed a single tear

Just remember I was here.

Your exquisite word choice and the way you blend simple words into such powerful poem reminds me of the great Hemingway..it's never the big fancy words that make you run to your dictionary and frustrates the reader by the magic simple words bring to play, and you Sir are a word magician..I also admire and correct me if I'm wrong that you wrote it deliberately in her tongue and that reflects your great selfless character and just extraordinary creativity..
