Some Days

Some Days

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

It doesn't matter how many people I have around me, this cloud will always exist above my head.

"

Some days are harder than others,

Tears fall a little easier, a little quieter,

Questioning the worth of our beings,

Why am I the one stuck in this battle?

Loved ones brushing off our struggles,

It’s just a phase, you’ll be fine,

You’re a woman and it’s that time again,

But you battle my demons and tell me again,

That little bottle holding my life here,

One small decision and it’s all over,

How long can one hold on with a smile,

Pretending like everything is always okay,

A smile can hold back a thousand wounds,

A shrug dismissing all validity in these feelings,

And they wonder why a letter is all we write,

When they never take a moment to let us exist,

Pain cannot be diminished by your naivety,

Battles exist outside of rose-coloured glasses,

You can’t run from the devil and his ways,

Existing in his realm is the only release,

Some days are harder than others,

Being surrounded by loneliness and quiet,

Some days are harder than others,

When all we want is to say that final goodbye.
