Sit Down Shut Up

Sit Down Shut Up

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

In some eyes, you will never be anything. Don't rely on them. Be everything you ever need in the world.

"

Sit down, shut up.

You don’t get a voice.

Take on the responsibility,

And accept all fault.

Asking for help is strength,

We commend you on being so strong,

Now wait until they have a spare moment,

Even if the years continue to pass.

Look in the silver reflection,

Who stands around you now?

When the tears fall down,

And the wheels stop turning.

Stop your whining,

It’s an honour to have their help,

Be an obedient child and wait,

Even if they never come knocking.

Paste a smile on your face,

Understand these words I speak,

You will never be in the right,

For you are not the first born to my name.

I tell you one final time child, sit down,

You exist because I wanted it once,

But you don’t get your own voice,

Understand your place in our lives.
