Sun God/Far as the Eye Can See

Sun God/Far as the Eye Can See

A Poem by William Lawrence

Remember Us Walk away?
The small glimpse of two bodies
Consumed by the distance
Into the sunlight
Smaller and smaller.
As we are
As we were
Now the path we take
Letting the sun overtake our view.
By the shining Gods eye
We melt so smooth
Soothing to
The naked eye.
The distance is endless
It’s boundless
Far as the eye can see.
Wax-like figures
Are all you see
Still melting--
We are melting--
Away.
