If I Were God

Just a thought I had one day.

If I were God,

I would change the world

To the way I planned it from the beginning;

And not the way mankind has made it today.

If mankind were truly created in my image,

There wouldn’t be the cruelty, injustice,

And hatred I see below me now.

I am comforted, though, by the extraordinary

Courage and compassion I have witnessed by many,

No matter what the consequences to them might be.

If I were God,

I would say to each of you;

You must take on whatever tasks, responsibilities, or challenges

That life sends your way if you indeed

Want to truly help one another.

Love as you would want to be loved;

Accept as you would want to be accepted;

And show compassion,

No matter how much your heart and soul

Are challenged to do otherwise.

It is your duty to one another

To heal the world I have left in your care.

It is your responsibility to love unconditionally

With all the Faith in me that I will

Never leave you or forsake you.

Pray for one another,

For I will always hear and answer you.

I am your Father,

You are my children,

Together we can make the world beautiful again.
