Extraordinary afternoon

Extraordinary afternoon

A Poem by willweb

~

Where can it be, that my mind has taken me,

as this pathway comes and goes,

causing open doors to close

What’s this I feel, in these hours I conceal,

like a pattern on a shelf,

standing right beside myself

I find that . . .

She’s the morning when you hear that tune,

like a Thursday in the month of June,

or a daisy learning how to bloom,

on a

extraordinary afternoon

She’s the . . .

freshest corner of the atmosphere,

like a river running bold and clear,

climbing mountains while you have no fear,

when your

prayers are answered and you have her near

it’s here . . .

in the rainy scene,

like a magazine,

painted tangerine

and a shade of green

with a caring smile,

in her special style,

laughing all the while,

every dusty mile

Whose up ahead, underneath a sky of red

when the twilight comes to call,

in the shadows of it all

How can I know, if my song is sure to flow,

like an echo on the wing,

that will make her spirit sing

I guess I’ll  . . .

chase the lightning as the thunder roars,

find a rainbow as my heaven pours,

take her hand and lead her on the way

to the,

garden entrance planted yesterday

Tell her . . .

she is all that I will ever need,

every hunger that I long to feed,

yellow roses in a full moon beam

glowing

effervescent on my midnight dream

She’s my . . .

extraordinary afternoon
