I like

I like, 

pizza and novels,  

petunias and daydreams 

Balconies, nighttime and  

stardust and moonbeams 

Sunrises, roosters and  

fresh morning dew 

But most of all,  

what I like best is you 

 

I like, 

jellybeans, limousines,   

seagulls and beaches 

Poems and drawings and  

someone who teaches 

Strawberry bubblegum,  

tasty to chew 

But most of all,  

what I like best is you 

 

I like,  

gardens and arbors 

with pink jasmine clinging 

Holding hands, kissing while 

bluebirds are singing 

Lions and tigers and 

trips to the zoo 

But most of all, 
what I like best is you 

 

I like, 

Vanilla ice cream with  

caramel and sprinkles 

Irons we use to get out 

all the wrinkles 

Something that's old as 

opposed to brand new 

But most of all, 
what I like best is you 

 

I like, 

magazines, straw hats,  

 cucumbers and pickles 

Slippers, pajamas and  

down pillow tickles 

Green beans and cabbage in  

grandma's beef stew 

But most of all,  

what I like best is you 

 

I like, 

laughter and smiles and 

purple toothbrushes 

Mushrooms and trumpets,  

a child who blushes 

Still, I must say since 

the words are so true 

What I like best, yes, 

will always be you

Ahh, i ee you haven't issed your mark yet Will and can only apologise for my lack of reviewing, which is something i am trying to get back into after a bit of a lay off.
Your list of likes makes me remember things from childhood that until read, i had completely forgotten about like orange flavour push ups, which are the bestest, even before remembering that they were the reason i got my first ever kiss. Walking back from the store with our iced delights, we giggled at the coldness of our lips, before the beautiful Jennifer gave me a frozen lipped kiss before joining the rest of the girls in their playground, while it might have been her i remember more that actually heated my lips up more, because i was a bit red in the face all afternoon! Which got rid of my frozen lips almost immediately.
This was going to be a kist of things i like, but noe i realise that now remembering it, i cant think of anything else!
Maybe i should have kept that one too tge last, because i now have a compulsion to find an orange flavour push up. 😊
