Journey

Journey

A Poem by Amy Whetzell
"

short sweet & to the point

"

Journey in

Sit for a spell

I’ll read your mind

On those secrets you’ll never tell

Journey out

Go for a ride

I’ve told not a soul

What I found inside

Journey here

To be with me

No other can give you

All levels of ecstasy

Journey there

Lo and behold

We’re not with you

You have no one to hold

I like the word play in this bit
"Journey in

Sit for a spell

I'll read your mind

On those secrets you'll never tell"

The idea of casting a "spell" on someone to read their mind just stood out to me, though I am not sure if thats what you meant, thats how I read it. :] A great show of well thought out lines.

this has a great subtle rhyme scheme, the decisive wording plays well in essence. Nicely done.

I like the "journey in" and "journey out" motif. It teases but does not tell.
