How many times

How many times

A Poem by Amy Whetzell
"

I wrote this for one of my soulmates; its a shame we couldn't hang on

"

Don't forget about us

Its only in your mind that you're alone

How many faces can you have?

How many haven't I seen?

My love for you is blind

Neither of us can see the full of it

Can you hear me?

Can you hear me now?

Hello?

Have you left already?

I just got you back

Will you say it when you leave this time?

Will it be a replay of all the times before?

I'll know when its coming won't I?

Go fix yourself

That's what I said last time

Will it be your excuse this time around?

You say I should stay with you

Jesus forgives you; I don't.

Take it to the limit

No take it easy

You know me

You must be doing something right

I don't listen to the voices in my head when they speak of you

Lovers come and go

but soulmates are forever

I know what you need

When its needed

This road we're on

Yeah, its long, winding, and fickle

Keep your eyes on the road

Hug the curves

and expected the unpredictable

God knows how I miss you

No one can take your place

Everyday seems to hurt the most

But I know I'll see you again someday

Someday

Someday I'll tell you

What it is hiding inside me

Someday you'll know

I know it may sound crazy

All the hell we've been through

Someday we'll get it all out

And I'll never see you again.

I really REALLY love these lines
"You say I should stay with you

Jesus forgive you; I don't."

The whole thing flows really well, till the last two lines, but I think that is some of this poems charm. Great word choice through the whole thing. :]
