Hell Highway

Hell Highway

A Poem by Lil.Sis5

Dark... Nothing but darkness. The headlights illuminate the snow. The trees lean toward the ditch as if they were souls crawling towards freedom. Just trying to call out for help. The falling snow looks like ash that litters the ground. The wind burns your nose and throat as if smoke was everywhere. The concrete turns to black ice. It feels as if the Devil is taunting you. Warning you that he can take you at any moment. The car slides. It’s out of control. Nothing can be seen just dark... nothing but darkness. The lights go out and I pray on hell highway.

I can picture everything you write. I'm unsure if you meant to make this an extremely comparative writing. If you did, bravo
