Tic Tac

Tic Tac

A Poem by Tiny Drop

Tic Tac
The clock is ticking
My life running away
The challenge awaiting
I look at the white empty paper
And feel the tears threatening
The sand in the hourglass
Is slowly trickling
Down as I drown in a silent panic
Filled of dreams and screams
While I'm thinking
Why did I get myself into this predicament?

Tic Tac
The time is running out
The answer sheet is empty
And I arrived at a roundabout
One which leads me to the beginning
And I know it's the end of my holdout
My world shakes and is violently
Surrounded with pain and doubt
The rain is gone from the dreamland
All because of a deadly drought
Failure is sadly an option
And I've run out of ideas
I can almost hear their voices,
As if they're echoing in the distance.
"Strikeout!"

Tic Tac, Tic Tac
Tic Tac,
Tic...

Is this my final countdown?
