Winter Love

Winter Love

A Poem by Pastel Nix

The sun is shinning in the sky.
I watch as you walk by,
my bedroom window.
You were my best friend.
We said that there was no end.
Where did that promise go?
It melted with the snow.
Like our Winter Love

Your smile was so bright,
It made me feel so light.
I wish we could go back.
But you pushed me away,
One really snowy day,
And I felt my heart contract.
I hate the fact,
That we lost our Winter love.

I ran outside to you,
Unsure what I could do,
To make you look at me.
Then I put on my coat,
Completely full of hope,
Until you didn't turn to see.
You had forgotten me.
Along with our Winter love.

It was Winter again,
And I saw my old friend,
After what felt like years.
But there was another girl,
That was now his world.
And I felt the tears,
As it confirmed my fears.
He found another Winter love.

Bina Lynn, This is a very heart felt and tender piece. You expressed in words a very emotional piece. It always hurts when you care for someone so deeply and they move on. But the one thing is the fact that there will be another, you just have to seek the person out because they are probably trying to seek you out as well.
