Earth Angel

For when one's rainbow light reaches out and touches us just the right way.

It’s a glow

A glimmer

A shining sweet light deep from within

It’s a soul

A spirit

Safe behind the tapestry of one’s skin

 

Time has carved it

Life has flavored it to perfection

While no one else may see it

I’ve come to enjoy this glistening heart

Even if others walk past, without a blink

In know its tune and understand the spark

Beat on

Beat on

Beat on I whisper

On into the endless heavens

Let your cadence flow

I listen

I know

 

Even when the storms rage

The rains flood

And the mud covers and buries

So that only true eyes may see

Do not worry

Beat on

Beat on I say

Continue to be that Earth Angel

Whose bright rainbow makes me smile

For an eternally long while

Whoa... Just... whoa... This is like... mind boggling... It sounds like imagery... That sounds weird... But it sounds like, like... pictures... RAINBOWS!!! Lots of rainbows. Hmm... so I wonder what this glistening heart of yours is... I'm not sure... but it sounds like... Heh, I don't have a clue... Well, I do have a clue, literally speaking, but then again, perhaps this little heart was never intended to be discovered... ARE YOU HIDING IT?! Whatever this heart is that makes you so happy that you write a poem full of rainbows and happiness, I wanna see it... This poem seems to take place in a lusciously green forest, green like life, with a thick rainbow river running through, textured like cotton candy slime... And the trees above create a lively green canopy... What a nice place to be...

My love, I come back to this, quite often- when I find an itch for a keyboard under my hands. I come back and I breathe you in. I breathe in what once we were, a far away dream lathered in simple affection. Simplicity it was that was so bold about the way I felt for you. How I admired you so. How your words about my words made me soar. I had no idea, even here when the whispers grew so ever louder that you would become so incredibly important to my every day. That your glow would follow me so far, for so long. I cannot describe the love I have for you. I cannot describe how even now your words play the strings of my heart into such beautiful, soul wrenching melodies.

You are magnificence. My darling dear, My Wolf, you are love itself.

Ahhhh... I really love beautiful words :) and this is included in said beautiful words. The words flow very well, and I like how sometimes it rhymes and other times it doesn't, on top of having a good rhythm. It both is beautiful in the way you read it and what the words themselves say. I really love it :)

I enjoyed this, it reminded me a lot of listening to the rain at night as I'm falling asleep, the way that the steady beating of it becomes soothing and lulls you into a restful slumber. Anyways, very endearing poem, and lovely word choice.

Haha this is great! And the only reason I'm laughing is because it's so good that it makes me smile...and thats funny.
It's also kind of funny how you've been crowned with this unique ability to capture ones mind and hold for as long as you wish. Yes, very funny indeed.
Yes sir, this poem was unlike any other I've ever read. I could practically hear your voice whispering it to me...but each word was striking my eardrum with the sound power of a jet turbine.
But let me tell you, I've never been so happy to be blown away (literally, cuz the jet turbine!) by a few words on a page.
