Word of Prayer

Word of Prayer

A Poem by Wolfwind

Dear Heavenly Father

Why have put us both upon a path, so close, yet so far

To bring us both back…then…

Separate us with a chaotic radical

To have us taste love, to know peace

A perfect balance, a perfect equation

Was this some arrangement with the devil you had to make?

In order to give life once again to the two of us

Did he require this?

The very distance

The every second, minutes and hours

The days…

Living like as shadow in the sun

A half a life, we both know and feel torn

Half empty, half full

Half of what our spirits know to be correct in the Divine

Please Lord?

Why have you brought upon us, this pain?

This torment of our very souls

That you tied and blessed in the Heavens

Before Our Rebirth

Have we each not endured and suffered enough?

I’m sorry My Heavenly Father

Perhaps I ask too much

I can only pray that Your Will shall guide

So that our footsteps can once again walk side by side

Hands together

As they were, in the time of long ago

The weeping loss is ever present in this poem. Your questions of Him can't be answered of mere yes or no. The only thing He can do, and which you have answered yourself as you wrote:
"I can only pray that Your Will shall guide"
It's the uncertainty that helps us along through every living trial we experience. (at least that's my thinking and digestion of how I'm answered at times..it seems)
Lovely poem you wrote, and I'm sorry if you did loose somebody close to you. You may find the reason for it but may not find the why of it.. :)

This poem was like a very fancy way of something I say to God all the time. I think most people can relate to this...It's like a questioning of God, but done smoothly and respectfully. Amazing : )

An honest prayer from a man in agony. You captured the feeling well, by choosing the right set of words that doesn't make the poem whiny and also not soft. Just right, strong and powerful. Awesome job!
