Election 2008

This is purely spur of the moment. I was jotting this down as I watched my millionth campaign ad. (Disclaimer: This poem is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes only! Any likeness to people real or fake is coinsidence... DO NOT GET OFFENDED! Please have a sense o

 

They speak of the issues,

healthcare and job security,

but its not a problem for them,

they are made of money.

 

They travel in caravans

near and far,

to see who will win

over America's hearts.  

 

At first they are pleasant,

but soon get real dirty,

each one is saying

the other's not worthy.

 

Then back and forth

the jabs are jarring,

we suffer through 

their political sparring.

 

Though we're facing tough times,

is this is our fate,

forced to wade through the muck 

to vote for the best candidate.

Ugh, I know! Especially with the democrats tearing eachother appart, who needs to have a fight between republicans and democrats anymore. We'll just let em make fools of themselves and let the people see the difference themselves. Ugh...
Personally I can't wait till the elections are over now. This is not the america I signed up for.

Very good! I enjoyed this. I feel exactly the same. All candidates are the same no matter the party, and the one with the most money will probably get elected.
If this is what you call writer's block, I don't see a problem.
