~ The Man of Gold

When dark nights fell, and the sun was under,

          His bones started to petrify,

His body became bigger, his eyes opened wide;

          His lungs breathed the nighttime sky

He was made of bullion, inside his heart,

          His love was gilded like a real ray of gold

Human at day, a god at night, he seemed,

          He lived precious into his parallel world

His other half was far away,

          She was made of Silver with Ruby stones;

He always dreamed of her, when he felt alone,

          And embraced her with all his platonic bones

Their whispers crossed the universe,

          For they were made to merge like precious white gold

Now he had to turn human for the sun came up,

          So she could dream, of his voice, like a lullaby told

When dark nights fell, and the sun was under,
His bones started to petrify,
His body became bigger, his eyes opened wide;
His lungs breathed the nighttime sky===================>My favorite stanza, hooked me from the get-go!

This entire piece, Elisa, was an epic story, at least part of one, if an elegant, poetic prose. That thumping, battle score was an excellent accompaniment to an all ready outstanding presentation...

Magnificent!

Love this fantasy world of you! the man of Gold is like soldier of light..I feel he has connection with the Sun and he is a fighter, even in love. Fantastic night God! my favorite verses:
His other half was far away,
She was made of Silver with Ruby stones;
He always dreamed of her, when he felt alone,
And embraced her with all his platonic bones

This does have a distinctively mythical quality to it, its very real though. Think Native America creation story sort of mould. It explains the inner-workings of things, you know, get to the heart of why things work the way they do. Sort of like what happens in that other world effects this one.

I really am fond of the way you described the Man of Gold. He sounds quite magnificent and heroic.

Love, that certainly is worth fighting for.

You're welcome :-)
According to Christopher Columbus, Those who had something of gold, were in possession of something of great value on Earth and a substance to even help souls to paradise. On the other hand; the Trojan War may indirectly have been caused by a golden apple given by Paris, Prince of Troy, to Aphrodite, daughter of Zeus and goddess of love and beauty, who in turn permitted Paris to kidnap Helen, the wife of the Greek hero Menelaus, thereby causing the war. Your Golden hero’s bitter sweet reflections, exquisitely expressed in verse, create mystical and haunting contemplations in the readers mind. The music chosen also softly compliments the piece – excellent!
