Through the ages,

Your soul embraced me,

 

Where dark nights never

Seemed to finish,

 

The pain in my chest,

And it's infinity,

 

Days we traveled, without effect,

I have seen pain,

            And have slain,

So did you...

 

I have waited, and slept for years,

 

Now the world is barren and desolate,

             I perish with hunger,

 

But beauty arises,

If life exists,

 

Where I hope to find you…

Maybe it's just me, but this piece screams vampire. Or...a possible reincarnation romance tale.

Either way, I found this a phenomenally enjoyable piece. It is very beautiful and is literally made of the stuff that fuels some of the things I write. In fact, I feel inspired after reading it.

One of the things I really missed about the Café is your poetry, miss. Everytime I read one of your works, I become touched by the words you use, they strike me deeply.
