Shouting at the Mirror

-And screaming at the absurdness.

A mindless gadget
Yet, so judgemental
Picking out my faults
Like a checklist
Insecurity tumbles
You feel worthless
Looking at your body
The reflecting traitor
Creates an illusion, doesn't it?
Looking at yourself
With pity
Dreaming of reaching
The goal, an endless loophole
Of stress and regret
Wanting to shake your flaws
Throw them off your shoulder
Yet you feed the enemy
Check it out regularly
But I feel hatred
Towards the cruel item
Worthless, ignorant
And finally
I'm shouting at my mirror
Standing for my beauty
Refusing to feed the lies
Tearing apart its falsity
All the bitter tales
It created
To hit a nerve of innocence
Turn us into monsters
Because there's always something
Worth fighting for.
