When you see those starry skies,

Know that's the love in my eyes. 

I'll be there for you through all the tears,

Giving all my love for the rest of my years.  

Those sweet dreams you ignite in me

Pull out my eternal pain and set me free. 

While you sleep I'll sing you a new serenade  

That'll terminate your emotional grenade. 

Darling come sit beside me for eternity.

We'll use our love to strike away adversity.

Our hearts beat in loving harmony, 

Sweetheart, we fit together perfectly.

Ah, love, it can be such a wonderful thing, can't it? The image of a starry sky in the first line was a great way to set the tone of the poem--what says dreams and love better than a beautifully lit sky? The idea of an everlasting love is always peaks my interest, and between the topic and your rhyming scheme, I truly enjoyed reading this poem!

It's one of the most magical, yet painful things a person could feel. I'm sure we've all had a broken heart at one point in our life, whether from a friend, family member, or significant other, but once you find a true love that lasts, everything else would seem like a memory from someone else's past.
