Home into House

Home into House

A Poem by WritersBlock21

New bathroom tiles and fresh paint.
Workers running about the room.
We're changing a home into a house.
And it's not as easy as it appears.
Childhood memories torn from the walls,
Family heirlooms packed in bubble wrap and rubber-maids.
That's what you see on the outside.

On the inside there is a marriage ending,
A family going their separate ways.
A mother and children trying their hardest to stay strong,
While the husband/father tears away from the fairy tale.
Running off to play with the other woman with a family of her own.

No, this scene is not what it appears to be at all.
You can never know something from the outside.
You never hear what is being said.
You never see what's going on unless you look in the window.
Please don't look in the window,
Walk away and ignore the yelling.
Because if you don't,
It'll hurt too much.

The outer layer is always exposed...but the heart of it all is the inside that no ones sees...except those inside the home...better to keep out and curiosity kills the cat...you give the in and outs with this verse...
