One Way Ticket To Neverland

One Way Ticket To Neverland

A Poem by WritersBlock21

There is a light in the distance,

A boat on the horizon.

We are sitting on the docks,

Wishing we could join you.

We can't join you though,

Because you have a one way ticket to Neverland.

Where everything never goes wrong

And you never see a frown on ones face.

President Mckinley lived for several days after being shot.

His wife cried out "I want to go. I want to go too!"

And with his last breath he turned to her and said,

"We are all going"

So we can pretend you went on vacation,

Or that we all have one way tickets to Neverland on hold.

There is a light in the distance,

A boat on the horizon.

Emily Dickensons last words were "I must go in, the fog is rising.

So in short we are all going,

But at least we'll meet again in Neverland.
