Virtuous Hymn

This poem is dedicated to the character V from V for Vendetta. He's one of my favorite characters in movies. I just love him...

"Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot... "

 

V rang words of Virtuous hymn

and Saved us from the government

and reached out

and gave us his limb.

 

V swiftly swung

and swung

until he had none.

He gave out a cry

and a light sigh

And said goodbye.

 

Even though he's gone and dead

Forever his words rang in my head

I never knew why he said,

"Ideas are bulletproof."

And I'm glad that he did.
