Restrained

Restrained

A Poem by J Harding
"

I sit in a free 30 minute slot in my busy day, and I'm going to write a poem, based on whatever comes into my head, could be good, could be atrocious ^_^

"

The sun glints outside on aging leaves,

That perish and wither in the cool wind.

I am stuck inside however, unable,

To experience sorrow of loss for those leaves.

Why should I stay here, chained,

Whilst those leaves suffer by themselves.

I want to help, I have to help.

But I'm a mile away from those few leaves,

That fall outside my window.

Very well written. You strung the words creating a enjoyable piece of writing.
The message howevever, very confusing....
Your feel sorry for the falling leaves? Or is there something I'm missing?!?!

An apt title and a very moving poem. The internal tension is discernible and palpable.
