Company

I usually walked from school 

Alone and sometimes sad

Until, one day, I met a friend 

It was a furry and stray cat 

It followed me as i walked home

Asking for nothing but company

And every so often, I'd stop and turn

To admire this creatures beauty

But one sad day after school

I came across it's body 

Simply splayed on the side of the road

Dead and, of-course, bloody.
