Happy New Me

Happy New Me

A Poem by Yahallo
"

It can be tough to be yourself after someone you loved leaves.

"
Happy New Me
I whisper under the sheets
I know I am changing
I know I can do this

Happy New Me
When the clock strucks twelve
I don't look up at the sky
When there are fireworks in your eyes

Happy New Me
I say it every single day
With and without you
I must stay the same

Happy New Me
Even when you leave
Though I wish you had stayed here
At least you can see the Moon beyond the atmosphere

Happy New Me
Every day I go to work
Every night ends up like the one before
Nothing new but the show must go on

Happy New Me
All alone and in pain
I have to look at it in different way
One day I'm going to see you at the eternal bay

Happy New Me
I think I am seeing stars
And why am I again seven years old?
Wait, I can see you waving right there, all in gold
