Please Break my Heart

My internal reaction to the friend-zone.

Break my heart in two

Give me no hope to turn back to

That yearning desire within my breast

Would eat me from inside until nothing is left

Please stomp on my heart
Don't give optimism a place to start

Please don't be so kind

Or delusions will start to fill my mind

So if you want to be kind to me

Break my heart completely

An absolute no without silver lining

Is so much better for my mind than to keep trying

Please crush my hope and do it fast

Then maybe our friendship will be able to last.

:( so sad...yet I can understand how you feel...would rather know if it's not going to work into something more than friendship sooner than later so your mind won't keep hoping it will change or what not. I think in a way everyone feels like this in this situation one time or another.
