"Stunted growth"

A Poem by Zack Burton
"

Poem #14. Uploaded Monday November 8, 9:48 PM. From "Poetry Collection 1."

"
Stunted growth
Driving rain
Lightning-thunder
Soaking pain
God-given focus
Ruined hope
Godless-horrid
Devil pope
F**k me earnest
Times of late
Softly shattered
Empty plate
Butter solvent
Empty past
You know me
I'll never last

Author's Note

Zack Burton
This is very raw, expressionist poetry, fresh off the top of my head. There's no point in thinking about a theme. What you're looking for here is the euphony in the dialogue, the tone, and nothing more.
