Promise of Remembrance

When you come back... I'll be waiting...

I can see the blind spot

The place that was just out of our vision before

I can see it now

It’s just like my dream

 

A place where time couldn’t catch us

And it was day all the time

Somewhere where we laughed and played

And held close the light of happiness

 

As soft as a whisper

You made a promise to me

We would return here in the future

And find each other once again

 

At our last meeting

I cried so many tears

But you only looked me in the eye and promised

“We’ll meet here again”

 

The day finally came

The day we vowed to meet again

I had been as eager as a young child

To see your face once more

 

And so I went to our special place

Untouched by time itself

And I waited for you forever

But you never came back

 

I guess you had just forgotten

Or maybe you were busy that day

Either way I’m still waiting

And gripping onto a promise

 

That I know you’ll keep
