Sole

Sole

A Poem by A. A. Zambrana

You move with me
wherever I go
and I am never apart from you

Even in the womb
you formed with me
and as I pushed to stand
for the first time
you helped to level me

Now while I wander on the rock
my callouses are yours

When I sit you rest with me
When I dance you lead me
When I ache you ache with me
When I stumble you steady me
When I run you keep with me

You are the very soles of my feet
and I cannot go on without you

So very symbolic, and such a beautiful piece. I am taking it to be about God, or at least, that's what this poem means to me. Well done!

I'm only 19, I feel I'm too young to have a Biography. I think the most eloquent and honest biography I could assemble is quite simply interwoven in all of my poetry. Except that none of my poems ment.. more..
