I am yours; you are mine

I am yours; you are mine

A Poem by Zee Langa
"

Declaration of one's love to another's.

"
I look at us and see the future staring into my eyes.
What have I done to deserve such comfort from you?
When I lie my head on your comforting heart,
I feel the comfort radiating to my own heart.
What have you done to me to be head over hills in love with you?
What has your comforting love done to my heart?

You look at us and see beauty staring into your eyes.
What have I done for you to have pulled me into this hole called unconditional love?
I feel this love rushing through every vein in my body.
My heart is painted with smiles everytime I talk to you.
Look at this picture you have created in my heart.
What has this love done to you to love me this much?
What has my sweet heart done to your fragile heart?

We look at us and see nothing but perfection in our eyes.
Our faults have become the stepping stone we use to climb to our greatest love.
Our goodness has lead us to never doubting the love we have for each other.
What has love done to our hearts to be this connected?
It has taken our love to a higher degree that no man can ever come close to.
And that is why I can say: I am yours.
And that is why you can say: You are mine.
Because even as this day sets,
Our love for each other will always be there in the horizon of our future.
