Moments in the night

Moments in the night

A Poem by Zee Langa
"

Happiness under the beautiful night sky.

"
That moment where I accidentally drank your coke and you caught me.
The smile that came across your face was so radiate that I was starstruck at that moment;
Guilty of stealing your feelings away.
What happened between us was beyond what even one word can describe.
But as the night fell before us,
Our feelings started to show in the night like the stars in the sky.

The walk we took together was worth a thousand words.
Our very own dictionary was jealous of the moment we shared.
We both didn't know that walk was important to join whatever strings that were never attached between us.
Our innocence was thrown out of the window like it didn't exist.
Our true selves came flying across the sky like a meteor shower.
That light of our true selves became obvious to people around us.
Even though we tried to fight it,
We were both at the losing end of knowing that it was becoming obvious to us too.

Your beauty caught me off guard like a thief in the night.
What was surprising was instead of running away,
My feeling were drawn towards you.
Many may say what we share is forbidden,
But what they should say is that what we share is out of the ordinary.
What man thought was wrong became right before our eyes.
What man thought was impossible became possible right before our touch.
What we shared in the night may have been for a few hours,
But the moments in the night we shared will always connect us together.

True that. I couldn't have put it in a better way.
