Malady

Malady

A Poem by Zero_Edge88

Oh sweet infestation tasting in the
gestation that we are quenching
our taste buds to as we are
dehydrated of what our life is in
this beautiful plane.

Oh delicious contagion craved in the
eyes of our voracity we are famished
that we must touch it but silverware
is a must so we could eat it ever
so peacefully in front of everyone.

Oh decadence contraction wafted in the
scent of putrescence because what smells
best in the air is the disease that we are
carrying for ever so delightfully it is a reminder
that our scars are real and so as our bruises.

Oh bittersweet remedies soothe our soul, and
heal a heart that is broken in me because I feel
the pain to be softened by each blow taken.
It is a scorched pain, a scalded entity and
an incinerated catastrophe.

This is where my heart begins to crumble,
This is where my mind begins to go unstable,
and
This is where my body begins to crack.

The remedy is what I no longer hold valuable but of
just a treasured Cheshire smile.
So I smile once more, fragile entwined
and delicately destroyed.

My pestilence,
My virulence,
and
My indulgence.

My pestilence,

My indulgence.

liked the 3 words banging on ... :D

I love your tenacious use of words. The sense of disintegration is epitomized very well

A great, descriptive poem. My fav stanzas are definitely the third and fourth - I love your strong use of words. The sense of disintegration and confusion at the end is mirrored very well with the actual layout down the page, I thought. :)
