Poem I wrote after getting fired today

Poem I wrote after getting fired today

A Poem by BadlyBruisedMuse
"

... true to my dark themes, even nearly tears later, I still am only inspired by tragedy in my life.

"

Easy does it tender foot

This place ain’t much forgiving

Be undaunted, don’t be shook

If you want to keep on living

Those tears streaming from your eyes

Let them strengthen your resolve

Don’t stop and try to theorize

About the pains that make you sob

injustice cruel and unleashed

Nipping at your heels

You must not fall and be a feast

For the flippant jagged shrills

Despite the bleakness in this storm

Draw your blade and carry on

Even as the ugliness begins to swarm

You must claw your way till you break dawn

You’re riddled from head to toe

With lacerations and deep gashes

And you hold within your soul

Anguish that drowns you in its vastness

All seem naught with these casualties

That plague you with trauma

But lacking any fragility

You adhere to endless resilient dogma

obstacle and adversities

Chained to the bitterness of life

A man must with all certainty

Have a mind to weather the strife

You do. So you leap from here

Articulated to you core

With every wound your magnificence

Allows your abused body to soar

No win no lost in this fruitless game

You must simply persist

No consolation for any of the pain

But you must continue to exist.
