Galaxy Collapse

Inspired by the game Cytus, one of my favorite songs is named Galaxy Collapse. If you love rhythm games to play on your phone or tablet, go ahead and get it! :)

The boy rests his eyes on the dilapidated aviation deck as it falls apart at a rapid pace, creaking and sighing as it falls up into the turquoise sky. He stands on the aviation deck with his hands in his pockets, bag slung on his left shoulder across his body. He smiles a wicked grin as a light brightens in the distance.

A supernova.

He laughs out loud as he watches the star explode, from millions of miles away. The explosion happened already, several years ago. But he is able to watch it once more. His eyes bright, he opens his hands out wide and murmurs,

“Come get me if you can.”

The light envelops him at a blinding pace, and the wind blows past his deaf ears. He only grins as the wind blows his hair back and his legs break. His eyes, his bag, his arms, his consciousness. All is lost.

But the beating of his soul.

The galaxy 

collapses.

And starts again anew, with another boy.
