Lost

Lost

A Poem by _mal

The beach disolves
And we stare fresh eyed, aware
my stomach
drops
because you’re...

 and the scene dissolves

The bitter taste of mo(u)rning.
Life without you shining through
the panes of a kaleidoscope of memories

Wow this is so simple yet so not. I loved it from the first word to the last.

you are expressing really well, and i have close personal attachment to this poem...because of my dad...he is alone now after 70 years with my mom....and he has that bitter taste of mourning, and nothing now but memories....
this is so well worded.

~~ ohhhhh... this is incredibly beautiful poetry... moving beyond measure... and yet that "kaleidoscope of memories" allows us to somehow go on... without those we miss inexorably...

I can feel your loss and pain _mal.

Beautiful imagery and written with a form that pushes not only the images, but the emotion of the piece, into something the reader can grasp and empathize with.

Great start and I look forward to some more piece from you
