You

You

A Poem by _mal

Any space too much
space, I want you in my bones want

To mesh with you and grow together

(I think) I love you
Box ticker plus.
So smart sensitive original
caring and kind…
I’m not used to your kind.
Perfection in your eyes
Power wisdom protection
plague me with thoughts when
you’re gone and all I have is you shirt
beside my pillow, smelling so thoughtfully
of you that I ache, chilled
close my eyes and see yours

But you come back

warm my fingers with your
hard working hands, history
wrapped around mine. So beautiful
the veins along your arms,
the scars that adorn your skin,
that smile
that turns all else to background noise.
That smile
I get to press my mouth against, those eyes

That heat me inside out.
You inside me, how

can we get closer than this?

You, my lovely friend, are an artist. I love how desperate and below-the-belt hitting this is. I feel like I need a shoulder to cry on and a cigarette after reading this. Well written and again, thank you.
