"

Got to stop drinking cough mixture lol

"

My tongue is a flat fish
on a dry rock
flapping in my mouth, drowning
skims the old cracked roof and
drops. Quiet foreign breeze
against its scales
sucked in and searched
curling to fit
  intended syllables
alien
intense, shapeless
fall still and silent
gave up.
My thoughts
come in burps that
never make it past clenched
teeth stiff jaw
holding machine gun heart
beat, head under
water laughing around my edges
