Him

Him

A Poem by Andrea A. Wentz
"

A poem lost in the crash, but now restored!

"

A tender touch,

Fingers interlaced.

A whisper, a smile, a kiss,

May this moment never end.

But normal life seems to crash,

crash right through the door

shattering the peace

the moment slips away

in favor of life’s obligations

Will those memories ever return?

Eventually the stress subsides,

and the memories reawaken.

A decision must be made,

Do you feel the same or no?

Fear grips

long gone memories return

Is this the same or is it new?

Is this real or

is this an illusion?

Can you trust again?

Do you want to trust?

Take a step forward

or turn and retreat?

You know how you feel

Take a chance

Take up courage

What do you have to lose,

but him?

A chance that sounds as if it will be taken. I like the questions in this poem. Very direct with an intuitive nature. Good write!

What an emotional tug of war. You loved once. You thought you knew. You had faith. When that crumbles..how do you know what's real...or just a replay of the last love. I think you just keep loving. Your piece really shows the conflict. Rain..

Beautifully written, that pain is always there it seems to be awaiting an awakening, and you ask yourself is this true or is it just another loss to be, But we must see...

she who hesitates loses but always look before you leap contrsating words of advice but it is possible to do both. Consider the options reflect on past experience then go ahead cautiously. Trust must be earned slowly

A moving tale - a narrative it seems to me on those thoughts that we all endure when venturing into the unknown world of love - wonderfully expressed. Thank you.

'What do you have to lose, but him?'

Quick insight into the questions of love. Very precious treatment...

Nice work, Andrea.

Very nice. Again, you kept my interest even though I do not deal with that scenario. Thank you for sharing.
