the fury of endlessness

the fury of endlessness

A Poem by A.r. Bazian

The Fury Of Endlessness

as i stood upon the fury of darkness...
i can feel the freezing breath of wisdom... pulling down my shoulders...
they felt so heavy...
as the waves smashed me onto the boulders...
held so deep in my heart...
flamed up these tears...
like fire... eating up my fears...
and i stood naked before the eyes of my hell...
into the depths of such bloody battle i fell...
willingly, yet helplessly!

such will...
that brought me to this sea...
a drunken darkness... my misery......
that has set me... much to be free...
and i raise my hands...
"i challenge thee... oh might brutality...
come swallow me...
i fear thee not"...
not after what has come to me...
i screamed...
as i had watched a tape running in my head...
and a wave slammed into the breaker...
it rose...so high...as if it has come to answer me...
i looked into the heart of such infinity...
and i cry..
in silence i weep...
but my tears needn't not for long... vanished in the heat of my memory... and the flames...the reverie!
i opened my eyes...
and i saw the story of the world...
in drops of divinity i've seen our history...
then i jump...
needn't the sea... to forcefully take me...
i jumped... into the hands of my destiny...
heard the screams of the fallen off...
i swam to them... as they screamed at me...
i thought... why be afraid?
if the sea wanted us gone...
we wouldn't be here to see...

and i thought that i won't be left to be...
that i had to help the lives i can...
and drown in my vanity...
i felt so shallow...
in the depth and mystery of the sea...
it has witnessed all our madness...
it has been there since the beginning..
and will be for all eternity...
so royal...
so righteous...
so full of liberty...
yet i fought... it's small effort,
to vanquish me...
and i went back to hardness...
to where i should be...
and i looked upon it with lustful fear...
and smiled... as i jumped back...
and as if i can  listen to it laughing... cheering....
pulling back...
as if it was never to see...
such fearful valor...
it sounded pityingly proud...
of the hell it has given me...
i have found my fun...
in the beauty of a death...
soon its how it shall come to be!

Outstanding.
I loved this piece and the way you portrayed it.
The only critque i can give you to help inprove this in any way is the line
"and i stood naked before the eyes of my hell...
into the depths of such bloody battle i fell..." You dont really use rhyme throughout your piece except for in this small part and i think in another small one. With rhyme you either need to have it constant throughout your work or not really include it or it throws the whole piece off.

Very deep. I have had to read this twice to get the full effect. I have mixed emotions. I would rather sit down face to face and go through this poem with you piece by piece, not there is anything wrong with it. Not at all! I just want to know what every detail means. I want to hear how your voice reads the poem. What is your tone? How your emotions come out? This is the deepest of your poems I have read. I can see alot of anger and welcoming of death. This poem makes me want to write a poem to you, a poem that will comfort you. But then again, who am I to say that you want to hear comforting words, because I think you like the dark side. Still intriguing. Always will be.

There is such raw gnashing pain here that seems to follow you no matter where you go. This is powerful but I feel no hope and that is difficult.

You tell me I'm a great writer, yet I stand in awe of your work. You would be an incredible novelist, without a doubt.
Your poetry ranks in the top ten.
I look forward to reading more of your work and perhaps having one of your novels on my bookshelf.
All the best,
Shirl

I really love these lines. they are just filled with so much emotion and meaning
that perhaps the naked mind cannot pick up when reading it the first time.
I was filled with such a powerful emotion when i read it. Though i cannot name the emotion
that took over my body. Was it the emotion of fear, or just a strong understanding?
to open your eyes and see the story of the world, what must one truly feel? truly see?
great job.
