Math in real life

Math in real life

A Poem by Lila Connelly
"

Maybe it doesn't make sense. But I guess it's really more for me than anyone.

"

Ten tiny fingers plus ten tiny toes
One happy mother plus a family that knows
Minus one father and minus four friends
Divided by pettiness times three nights alone

Nine months spent wondering to the power of why

Plus a whole year of growing she no longer cries

Three months of trade school times minimum wage

Minus the bills and some pink lemonade

One long equation only God can add up

Though the answers quite clear: Love is enough
