Glass Kisses

Glass Kisses

A Poem by Aekmy

The wind whistles and blows, creates beautiful sounds like those at symphony shows. I am
the young flower in your aged garden whose mind is fresh, whose love is pure,
whose mind is searching for something more
than what meets the eye of every person. I want more than you are willing to give. I'll reach inside
and take what is mine.
As the wind blows, the trees wave hello to the glistening sun who is warming the ground
with its love. The ground kisses my toe. I've been here before, but nobody knows.
I've been losing myself here, but only the birds see, only the wind can whisper.
Skin white as snow, I plant myself in the garden; I'm a mirror in which you see
all of your imperfections, all of your worries. Come to me for answers, dear.
The frogs in my throat induce a choke, prevent relief for my cove.
Be the sun in my sky.
Save me from the lies.
Heart shaped stones are
the secret to your demise
and lockets are the kisses
on the glass.

Haunting. Love the way you've set the text, like a reflection of a bird in water.

Beautiful piece. The flow is absolutely perfect, and when I came to the last line I simply didn't want it to end. The imagery of this piece is awesome, and everything about it is just...wow! Wonderful job!

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
