Journey

a collaborative poem by Matthew Carter and myself

 

Looking into the midnight sky
The swirl of clouds float slowly by
I wonder what the day will bring
But for right now, the night is ours....

As the sun sets amidst distant dimming horizons
We take this moment as the all and soar at great heights
The morrow still laying adjacent in thought
Yet now feels like evermore, the pure force of this love

The love we feel deepens with each passing day
Exquisitely ecstatic, spiraling upward toward the heavens
Reflections of the other dawns become a distant memory
Here is forever, eternally enraptured in this love

Emotions with courage, trust expand and grow
Language evolving with other minimalisms
Into lesser matters as hearts begin to know
Aware nesses rise of celestial voices as guidance, our light of hope
Now is forever, now is life, love, now, and is all
Now as one.

i really like this poem. it's full of feeling, love, and memories. this poem flows with greatness. i love this poem with such furocity that i think it's very true for me to say that it is one of my favorites. great work. :D im happy to be reading work by an author that i like. one of the many authors, but defanantly one of my favorites.

I think the reviewer below me (Barbara) is pretty much right. I believe that love can become an obsession excluding all others, but on the other hand...too bad so sad!!! I liked this very much, it touches the heavens.

u brought the tense of now and the feeling of love together in this poem. tying them as one.. you and matt job well done, the emphasis in which u desired has been achieved and the emotions of this love have now been felt ;-p

I like the emphasis on 'now' in verses 1, 2 and especially the last two lines of 4. Makes it feel immediate.
