Another Life

 

I know the game we play

The one that hides

What we really feel

Things aren’t what they seem

For we hide behind the words

 

The banter, the falsehood

That all is fine

But is isn’t, not really

What happened to us?

 

To what we once were

The past, the future

It all went to hell

And everything changed

 

How do we get it back?

Do we even want to?

To go our separate ways

Maybe for the best

 

Always remember though

That I love you

And it may not even matter

For I go on without you

 

To another life….

It is truly difficult to let go
of someone you love,
whatever the reason.
Life is ongoing change,
some good... some bad.
One thing I am certain of...
though love may change hands,
it never leaves us.

It's what this life is all about.
The love.

Just make sure this is something
you want to do....
and not something you feel you have to do ;)
