the dance

the dance

I love

I am alive

I love a beating heart

I love moving sweaty body

I love pulsating lobes

Where thoughts lie

Where reason lies

Where this life’s purpose blooms

Where eye look out over expanses

Dancing upon red shifted light over landscapes to and fro

My dance

My dance has always been wistful

Like a bell jared poet, desperate

Like an abandoned dogs howl, whelming

Like an arroyo rush down a black hole, hot

Like a spitting yellow stoned splash

Moving in mountains’ swirling clouds

Moving through corridors, channels and canals

Moving toes and fingers along rocky trails

Moving the motions of heroes scores

Moving a feather with only my nose

I skate

I find my self on a pond of ice cubes, where

I scud with dull blades to find you

You who have been lost

You who I keep on a kite

You who flew over all those days

You who have helped me get through the toil of the pay

I have found you my love, you who fell from your perch

fell upon my feet whose toes say hello,  to our upper lobes

let us dance, let us make music, let us dine on sweet aplomb.

The dance is a realistic one and chaotic as expected. To live fully is to dance recklessly and with abandon. You skate, swirl, splash and fly and I really like that. To find a love that partners you well is the icing on the cake!

' Moving in mountains’ swirling clouds .. Moving through corridors, channels and canals .. Moving toes and fingers along rocky trails .. Moving the motions of heroes scores .. Moving a feather with only my nose .. I skate'

There is the most utmost urgency and anticipation in your words, albee! Some of the phrasing is.. incredibly tense, full of almost but not quite subtlety, ' .. found you my love, you who fell from your perch .. fell upon my feet whose toes say hello, to our upper lobes .. let us dance, let us make music, let us dine on sweet aplomb.'

Definitely a poem on which to keep the heart ticking over a long Winter!
